Hello everyone,
We would like to introduce the newest addition to our family. On
Monday we had a beautiful baby girl.
We have named our daughter Allison Jane Blackbird.
She was born on September 15, 2008 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City, IA
at 8:48am.
She weighed 7 lbs. 7oz. and was 19 inches long.

About Her Name
When we found out our baby was a girl the morning of the delivery, the only
girl name we really had picked out was Elizabeth. When we had the chance
to get to meet our baby we decided she didn't look like an Elizabeth.
She was taken from us quickly that morning to be placed in the Neonatal
intensive care unit. When we finally were able to see her my wife said her
name was going to be Allison. She said that was the name that kept coming
to her while she laid in her hospital bed next to the baby's incubator.
We picked the name Jane because that is Cathy's mothers middle name.

grandfather as she began her fourth day in the world.
She was given the name Mi' Tai which means New
Sun Rising. The name came from her grandfather's
sister Bernadette. Allison was born in the morning as
the sun was rising so her name is very fitting.
